Preserving a historical landmark of Amherst, Virginia

Brightwell's Mill

Inside the aging timber frames, the legacies and lifestyles of centuries-old grain millers, serve a greater purpose.

Restoration work has begun to ensure the preservation of this piece of Virginian history, but much help is needed.

Brightwell's Mill was originally built in the early 1800's and has been rebuilt once, after being washed away in August, 1942.
